At the time, I've been dating my now husband for 5 years so I thought it was time... so I was dropping hints here and there and obviously discussing with my friends and family. We went on vacation and thought it was gonna happen... didn't. Holidays came and went....nothing. So I was giving up on the notion when on our fifth anniversary... he took me to dinner which at this point, didn't think much about because all those other times I was disappointed, he proposed at the exact time we would have gone on our first date. The place was at The Farmhouse in Allentown, I believe. A chef-inspired restaurant that was super expensive and very classy. I loved it!! After dinner, while I was calling all my friends and family, he recreated our first date, stopping at all the places that we went. It was so beautiful and so thoughtful that he remembered the date and times that we had on our first date. We spent the rest of the night talking about the future. It was so great!!!
