About Vanessa Lachey

As the winner of the 1998 “Miss Teen USA” pageant, Lachey (then Minnillo) was awarded the title and honor of Miss Congeniality 1998. She later went on to serve as a backstage correspondent for “The 50th Annual Miss USA Pageant” in 2001, a judge for “Miss Teen USA” in 2003, a host for “Miss Teen USA” in 2004, a judge for “Miss Teen USA” in 2007 and co-host of the 2007 “Miss Universe Pageant” in Mexico City.

In 2003, Lachey started at MTV Networks where she served as co-host for “Total Request Live” and “MTV Hits.” She hosted several MTV specials including “MTV’s Prom Date,” “The Real World San Diego Reunion” and “Spring Break Celebrity Fantasies.” In 2002, Lachey hosted the UK crossover hit “Top of the Pops” for The WB and she hosted the live finale of UPN’s “The Road to Stardom with Missy Elliott.”

For two seasons, Lachey was the New York-based correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight,” the #1 syndicated entertainment newsmagazine in the world. During her time with “Entertainment Tonight,” Lachey reported on the latest news regarding music, film, television and fashion.

In addition, Lachey has appeared on numerous television sitcoms such as CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” and “CSI:NY” as well as USA’s “Psych”. She also starred in the Fox feature film FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER and the Lionsgate comedy DISASTER MOVIE.

In January 2009, Lachey hosted and was a judge of the hit ABC reality show “True Beauty” and returned as the host once again during the summer of 2010. Lachey guest starred on CBS’ hit remake of “Hawaii Five O” as well as NBC’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning show “30 Rock”.

This past year, Lachey co-hosted the popular ABC Series “Wipeout” before her and her husband, Nick Lachey welcomed their first child. Their son, Camden John Lachey was born September 12, 2012.
