Spring has sprung a little early here in California, and I couldn’t be happier about it!! Even though I love rocking my favorite winter boots, I’m ready to trade them in for something lighter. Since I’m head over heels obsessed with my new lace-up Aquazzura flats (I’m seriously considering buying them in every color!), I thought I’d round up a handful of shoes that I can’t wait to pull out of my closet come spring and summer. Prepare to be completely smitten!
I love this type of flat not only because it’s a stylish shoe, but it’s also practical for a mommy. Some lace-up flats like my favorite Aquazzura pair are on the pricier side, but I think it’s always good to invest in ONE good shoe for spring and summer! I went for nude so it can be my “all-around” shoe, but pink and black are calling my name as well!
I’m so in love with espadrilles, both flats and wedges. This is a classic shoe that, in my opinion, never goes out of style. Whether it’s a sexy wedge or a fun, casual flat, this is my go-to, comfortable, sunny day shoe. Pair them with rolled-up boyfriend jeans and a T-shirt in any color, and you are the perfect blend of style and comfort.
Mules are BACK! I’m excited because they’re easy and comfortable—two things I look for and love as a mom on the go! Now that straight leg, boot cut, bellbottom, and boyfriend jeans are the ‘in’ thing, this shoe is a perfect fit for ALL of those jeans. I may still have to hang onto some of my skinny jeans, but I am loving the new jean trends! I may have to post my favorites soon!
There’s nothing I love more than a good, classic sneaker! I am so happy to see sneakers becoming more “fashionable”! (Shout out to Monica Rose for inspiring me to bring back my Adidas shell-toe sneakers when I was pregnant with Brooklyn). From Victoria Beckham to Gigi Hadid you see sneakers dressed up and down. Wear them with all black and a cute trench, bomber or leather jacket. Rock them with boyfriend jeans and a t-shirt for an effortless easy look. Also, you can pair them with slacks and a tailored shirt for a dressier option.
